3. Your First Lesson
Not an assessment. It's a live session with a certified Teaching Assistant — a native speaker with a degree in teaching Mandarin — who:
- teaches you 2–3 phrases you can actually use in a business setting,
- gets a feel for your level naturally through the conversation — no test, no placement quiz,
- and builds your personalized learning path: which topics to start with, what to prioritize.
You leave having already learned something, with a clear plan for the next 3 months. (One practical note: the booking interface labels this session "Lead-in Session.")
After that, you set the pace. Completing your First Lesson unlocks the full 50-minute 1-on-1 Tutor Sessions — a step up. Buy Credits at 50% off and book sessions on the topics your learning path recommends. A 30+3 package ($150 during the pilot) covers 6+ tutor sessions across 3 months; TA Practice Sessions ($10) reinforce between them.
